‘Pretty Little Liars’: Everything to Know About Season 7

Posted by: andrea      Filed in: Spoilers ,The Show      Comments: 0
Pretty Little Liars left one Liar’s fate hanging in the balance at the end of season six, and when season seven kicks off Tuesday on Freeform, they’ll only have 24 hours to save Hanna (Ashley Benson).
This Jack Bauer-esque challenge will be “darker than the dollhouse,” creator I. Marlene King teases to The Hollywood Reporter.
Season seven will also include a wedding for an “original ‘ship” and the end to the “love square” of Hanna, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and Toby (Keegan Allen).
Read on for everything to know about the upcoming seventh season:
The Liars WIll Do Whatever It Takes to Save Hanna
“It’s definitely darker than the dollhouse,” King teases of the Liars’ 24-hour journey to save Hanna in the premiere. “Everybody is really dedicated to finding her, but Caleb becomes incredibly single-focused. He feels the most responsible for A.D. abducting her.”
The Caleb-Hanna-Spencer-Toby Love Square Will Resolve Itself
Just like how Spencer asking Hanna’s permission to date Caleb was a “very fair and grown-up decision,” King stresses that “another fair decision will be made between all four” in the love square. At a live-streamed Facebook Q&A with the cast and EPs on Wednesday, King revealed that Spencer will end a relationship with either Caleb or Toby in a scene that made Bellisario cry.
A.D. Will Be Unmasked
King says that A.D.’s unmasking and Charlotte’s killer being revealed could “come before the finale,” but things will kick off with figuring out how Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) and Elliott Rollins (Huw Collins) are connected to A.D. “There are a lot of big reveals this year,” King adds. “Episode by episode, we try to give a lot of information. It feels very gratifying along the way.” Source THR

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Creator: ‘The Show is Coming to a Closure…of Sorts’

“There will be a proposal in the summer and a wedding when we come back in the winter,” said King, confirming that the wedding will involve one of the Liars. (Season 7 will be split up into two parts, per usual, with the first half in summer and the back-half in winter.)

King also teased that a lot of people are going to die in the upcoming season: “It will be the biggest body count we’ve ever had on a season of ‘Pretty Little Liars.’”

The elephant in the room at the “PLL” event was the fact that Season 7 could be the last. Rumors have been long been swirling that the series will end after the upcoming season with cast members saying so in various interviews, but Freeform has not confirmed the ending, only releasing a mysterious statement that reads, “This is the end of ‘PLL’ as we know it.”

Wednesday night, when asked if Season 7 is the final season, King teased, “The show is coming to a closure of sorts, and that’s all we can say for now. Everyone loves their characters and the world so we hope it continues in some way shape or form.”

Season 7 of ‘PLL’ isn’t ‘officially’ the end, but here’s what we do know…

Posted by: andrea      Filed in: Spoilers ,The Show      Comments: Comments Off on Season 7 of ‘PLL’ isn’t ‘officially’ the end, but here’s what we do know…

There’s been a lot of talk about season 7 of drama/thriller/soap Pretty Little Liars being the final season of the show. But is that indeed the case?

At the Pretty Little Liars and Dead of Summer event in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery Wednesday night, we asked PLL creator/producer/writer I. Marlene King that question, because we figured she’d know.

“We’re not officially allowed to say (it’s the last season), but it is a season of closure, I can say that.” Put another way? “It’s the beginning of the end as we know it,” she told USA TODAY on the red blue carpet.

During a panel with the PLL cast, writer/producer Charlie Craig added to that, saying that if fans keep watching the show, then maybe the story would continue in some other form. (After all, ABC Family’s new network name is Freeform… hmm.) Continue Reading at USA TODAY
